Al-Qaswa Dairies was established in January 2019 and became fully operational in mid-2019 with a view to untap the huge potential of dairy farming in Pakpattan, Pakistan. It is located in 28/SP on Gogira Road, Pakpattan.

At this stage, Al-Qaswa Dairies has a total capacity of 200 animals, 120 cows and 80 calves. In 2019, Al-Qaswa imported 40 Holstein Friesian cows from Australia to kickstart the farm operations. Alhamdulilah, our herd has grown and these cows have already gone into their fourth lactation cycle. Currently, Al-Qaswa Dairies is home to more than 120 cows and calves.

AlQaswa is also home to a start-up goat farm. We are breeding indigenous Makkhi Cheeni goats and will gradually expand our goat farm.

Al-Qaswa Dairies is our dream to bring the best out of dairy farming by creating jobs, building sustainable dairy value chains and improving production by deploying best global practices in dairy farming. In doing so, Al-Qaswa Dairies is conscious of improving the well-being of the community we are part of. Our dream is to expand into a corporate dairy farm that is world-class, modern, sustainable and community conscious.

AlQaswa Dairies produces high-quaity, hygienic and anti-biotic-free milk. A clear evidence of our high-quality milk is that we have been dispatching our milk to Nestle Pakistan (Pvt Ltd) and Friesland-Campina Engro Pakistan Limited for past five years. 

Our milk is 100% pure, free of adultration, toxins, antibiotics and any other harmful chemicals. Before our milk is dispatched to Nestle and Engro, several tests are conducted to ensure its quality. These include:

Taking care of our herd begins with selecting top feed ingredients for our cows and calves. Good feed is a key element in their overall health, growth and development, and requires careful consideration when deciding what we feed them. 

When selecting the feed ingredients, we look for ones that contain all of the key nutrients and minerals that our animals need. Our nutritional design includes the essential ingredients such as proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, and fats—all in balance with each other for maximum nutrition absorption. We source our ingredients from reputable suppliers. This approach promotes overall health of our cows which in return give healthy milk for our customers.

We regularly test our feed ingredients for their quality and ensure that they are free of any toxic and harmful chemicals & ingredients to ensure a wholesome and safe feed choice for your herd. 

Al-Qaswa Dairies is a semi-automated farm, using the cutting-edge technology for feeding the cows, milking the cows, testing the milk and storing it in a safe environment. A high-tech imported milking parlor can milk 10 lactating cows at the same time in about 7-8 minutes. The milk is transferred to the chiller that can store 1600 liters of milk at required temperature. The milk is tested for its quality before daily transfer to Nestle through its delivery truck.

Feeding of the herd is also done through semi-automated Total Mixed Ration (TMR) Machine that ensures full and uniform mixing of the silage, green fodder, minerals and other nutrients advised by our expert nutritionist.  Fresh and clean water is provided to the heard round the clock. To control the feeding value chain and ensure high-quality of nutrition provided to the herd, Al-Qaswa has selected top quality suppliers of silage, vanda, minerals and other nutrients.

In order to provide a comfortable environment to the herd, temperature of the farm is maintained by large-size dairy fans and an automated sprinkling system (ASS) that maintains air moisture. Cow brushes are provided to groom the herd and provide comfort and reduce stress.

Biosecurity and animal-health are top priorities at Al-Qaswa Dairies. For this purpose, strict biosecurity protocols are implemented that allow for intrusion of an outsider after having cleared the biosecurity protocols. Similarly, a team of qualified veterinarians is available on the farm to look after the cows and calves and provide individual care when needed.

AlQaswa envisions to be a sustainable and green dairy farm. 

To meet our energy requirements, we have installed an on-grid solar suystem of 80KW on our farm. We will continue to expand its capacity to meet our growing energy needs. 

We have also built a biogas plant to convert the waste into gas that can be used for generating electricity at the farm. The biogas plant is also helping us reduce the environmental waste.
